Step into the shadow of the lowering flag. Pray that it goes up again tomorrow and that those who claim it, honor it, not with empty words and ceremony but by pursuing happiness, all the while honoring everyone else’s right to that pursuit, even when they root for the Yankees.

Nice sentiment Danny! Wow where are all the fans?

Funny. Thanks.

DANNY REPLIED:
The photo was taken after the end of the baseball game, so most of the fans were gone as the flag was lowered. Glad you thought it was funny, Bill. Having started the prayer with the dire possibility of the flag no longer flying, I wanted to add some humor. That said, if you are an Orioles fan in Camden Yards listening to a bunch of crowing, victorious Yankees fans, you might be tempted to curtail their pursuit of happiness, even if that does go against what the flag stands for.
