The camera doesn't lie.
I thought those were cars
and trucks in front of us,
road signs and open highway.
The photographic evidence
suggests something else,
that the world you created, Lord,
never stops surprising, that
there are wonders at every turn,
and even straight ahead.

I love the calm blue sky in this landscape, so different from the jittery lights of the cars and city. The earth falls asleep but the city stays awake.
